A derma roller is used for microneedling in the same way our Dr Pen derma pens deliver collagen induction therapy via micro needling. Derma rollers are powered by hand, rather than by electric motor, and are manually rolled across the surface of the skin to create micro channels that allow your skin’s trauma/healing response to be triggered, causing the skin to produce more collagen and elastin for a youthful, healthy appearance.

But the Hydra Roller takes it one step further than your standard derma roller, with its built in attached 10ml serum cartridge, allowing you to infuse your serum of choice directly into the microchannels as you roll… eliminating the need to prep your skin with serum before micro needling!

How to use the Hydra Roller

Make sure the needles have been disinfected and cleaned before use. This is to ensure sterility Cleanse skin with cleanser of choice to remove all traces of makeup. This will also prevent the exchange of bacteria.

 

Apply hyaluronic acid (recommended for hydration – however any serum of your choice can be used at your discretion) into the attached 10ml serum cartridge. Be sure not to overfill.

 

Roll the derma roller back and forth about 4-5 times in each direction horizontally, vertically and diagonally, on the area you wish to treat Maintain a uniform speed and pressure for the best results.
For consistent precision and safety (avoid cross-contamination), replace your derma roller either after 15 uses or after a span of 3 months. This ensures safety and effectiveness of your derma rolling treatment. Full sterilisation must be done before each use.
